It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Rusenstrom on November 8, 2021 after a long battle with a terminal illness. She went peacefully in her sleep at the age of 68. Joan was born October 2nd, 1953 in Maniwaki Qc to the late Nelson Rusenstrom and Ethel Woods. She married the love of her life, Denis Scribnock, in April 1975 with whom she fulfilled her dream to have a family. He preceded her in death in August 2020.

She is survived by her two beautiful daughters: Farrah (Steve Carle) and Tanya (Jonathan Déziel), her lovely grandchildren, Samuel and Audreanne Carle. Her grandchild Maxime Scribnock-Carle also preceded her in death in 2003.  Joan is also survived by her brothers and sister: John, Allan, Sandra (Gilles Farley) and Nelson Jr (Pia Dinunzio) and her many nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives, whom she loved very much.

Mom, you have always put everybody else before yourself, especially your daughters, dad and your grandchildren of whom you were so proud. You loved us so much and showed it every single day growing up.  We remember your love for dancing, cooking and entertaining at the house. You had such a big heart filled with love and this is what we will most remember: your love and kindness.  You and dad are now reunited and the two of you can start your forever journey.

Visiting hours will be November 26, 2021, starting at 1pm until 4pm, at the McConnery Funeral home. There will also be a prayer during visiting hours.
