Claudette “Lou-Lou” Commanda of Kitigan Zibi passed away peacefully at her home on January 11, 2026, at the age of 66.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Norman Sr. Commanda and the late Florence Decontie.
Claudette was a loving mother to her son Curtis and was predeceased by her daughters Leona and Stacey. She was one of eleven siblings and will be fondly remembered by her many brothers and sisters.
She also leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, and friends, all of whom will forever cherish her memory, her kindness, and her loving spirit.

Wake arrangements:
The wake will be held at the Kitigan Zibi Funeral Home from January 13 to January 14, 2026.

Service:
A religious service will take place on January 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church.
Interment:
Following the service, Claudette will be laid to rest at the Kitigan Zibi Cemetery.

Claudette “Lou-Lou” Commanda will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
