On November 13, 2016, at the age of 81. Born in Noranda, QC., she was the 3rd of 4 children of the late William Howard Armstrong and Mildred GRACE Burnett. She is survived by her daughter Jane Fuller of Everett ON, sister Kathleen (Don) McTavish, Dutton ON, nieces; Dianne (McTavish) (Don) Lyons and Christine McTavish, nephews; David and Tom (Janice) McTavish, Howard, Stephen (Karen), Graeme and Russell Armstrong. She was predeceased by her companion of many years, Lawrence (Larry) Irwin (2011), her brother William (Bill) Burnett Armstrong (2006) and her sister Nancy (Jeff) McCrory (2016) of Knoxville Tennessee.
Pat was a 34 year member of the Canadian Forces Militia, serving at several Militia units, starting out 107 Manning Depot in London ON, as a basic recruit, and serving lastly with The Brockville Rifles where she was commissioned from the ranks, and called out to serve with the Regular Force as an Administrative Captain, at NDHQ, from 1979 to 1991
She and her companion retired to live on Lake Roddick Bouchette, QC, in 1996. She leaves many good friends, who will remember her as a kind, witty, good humoured, sincere person, with a great work ethic.
At Patty’s request, there will be no funeral. However, friends and family will gather next summer to scatter her ashes on Lake Roddick where she spent so many happy days.
