It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Tanner Chabot, of Kitigan Zibi, at the young age of 23. Tanner left us far too soon on October 9th, 2025.

Born and raised in Kitigan Zibi, Tanner will be remembered for his bright spirit, his generous heart, and his deep love for family, friends, and community. He was known for his laughter, his loyalty, and the warmth he brought into every room.

He leaves behind his loving mother Jasmine Chabot, his father Daniel Beaudoin, and his father at heart Christopher McGregor. Tanner was cherished by his guardians Blythe Commando and Linda Dwyer, who guided and cared for him throughout his life.

He will be forever missed by his siblings — the late Liam, Hannah, Daniel, Erin, Shana, Casey, Randy, Terry, Andrew, Saydi, and Gwen — as well as his soul brothers Delphis, Connor, Tommy, Alex, and Onimikii, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond.

Tanner also leaves behind his great-grandmother Martina St-Denis-Chabot, his grandmother Veronica Chabot Late papa Jimmy Commonda, his auntie Angel, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, godchild and friends, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts.

A wake will be held at the Kitigan Zibi Funeral Home beginning Friday, October 17th, 2025, for family 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and the community at large 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and continuing until Saturday, October 18th, 2025, 9:00 a.m. followed by burial at the Kitigan Zibi Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

Tanner’s life, though short, was filled with love, laughter, and deep connections. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
