Tara ‘Noonies’ Dewache, of the Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg (Maniwaki) community passed away on January 4th, 2026, at the age of 35.

She was the cherished & beloved daughter of Christine Dewache and Kevin Brascoupe. Tara was the loving mother of Zoe Dewache.
She was big-sister to Kristopher ‘Chummy’ Dewache, Grand-Daughter to Evelyn Dewache, Tommy Dewache, and the late Irene Brascoupe/Meness. The older step-sister to Shannon Buckshot Tenasco, as well as also being step-daughter to Brenda Buckshot.
She will be sorely missed (but well remembered) by the rest of her family members, her friends, and the many people whose lives she had touched along the way.
Tara ‘Noonies’ Dewache will be forever missed, treasured, and remembered for her generous heart, her honesty, her welcoming & ‘sparky’ manners, the instant assistance that she’d offer others, her friendly/inviting ways, as well as her upbeat and positive mannerisms. Along with her Love of animals.
Visitation for Tara:
The wake will be held at the Kitigan Zibi Funeral Home from Saturday January 17th (9am to 9pm) to Sunday January 18th, (9am to 2pm) 2026.
Service:
Eulogy to be delivered by her father on Sunday the 18th at 11:00am.
